Gateway Outdoor Wins Transit Advertising Contract in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Area
Hackettstown, N.J., May 23, 2006 – Gateway Outdoor Advertising, an out-of-home media company with transit advertising, billboard and convenience store advertising contracts (GOMedia) throughout North America, has reached a five-year agreement with South Carolina’s Coastal Regional Transit Authority (RTA) for the exclusive rights to sell advertising on buses and trolleys and bus shelters that serve Horry and Georgetown Counties, S.C., which include the cities of Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island. The region has more than a quarter-million residents and hosts more than 13 million visitors each year.
“This new relationship enables us to bring the highest levels of customer service and innovation to advertisers wanting to reach consumers who ride and view Coastal RTA buses trolleys and shelters, and also helps us to continue meeting our growth projections,” says Craig P. Heard, Gateway Outdoor’s president and CEO. “Advertisers should be pleased about investing their media dollars with the Coastal RTA because riders in the Myrtle Beach area will be exposed to the highest quality of transit advertising.”
This office is the fourth one that Gateway has opened in the past six months to service
new transit advertising contracts, and to improve responsiveness to its national and regional advertiser base.
